Privacy Policy - How We Handle Your Data | Same Day ID

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us.

Effective Date: October 19, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our service to you.

Personal Data

When you create an account, design a card, or place an order, we collect Personal Data, including:

  • Identity Data: Name, email address, phone number.
  • Transaction Data: Billing address, shipping address, payment method details (collected and processed securely by third-party payment processors).
  • Design Data: Photos, names, job titles, and unique identifiers (e.g., employee IDs) that you upload or input for printing on your custom cards.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information on how the Service is accessed and used ("Usage Data"). This includes your computer's IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for various purposes:

  • To Fulfill Orders: To process your card design, print the custom products, and deliver them to your specified address.
  • To Manage Your Account: To provide you with a personalized experience, manage your account, and allow you to view past orders.
  • For Communication: To send you updates regarding your order status, service changes, or marketing materials (which you can opt out of).
  • For Security: To prevent fraudulent activity and protect the integrity of our service and data.

3. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us. We implement robust physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We take special care to keep your Design Data confidential, deleting print files after a reasonable processing period unless otherwise requested.

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for our business, legal and security purposes. We delete it when the law requires or when we receive a valid request, and we dispose of it securely, as Florida law requires. When a card is revoked or deactivated, its verification page shows "Revoked."

If you start a Digital Wallet Pass subscription, we keep a record of your consent: the date and time, your IP address and browser, the exact terms you agreed to (including the number of passes and the price per pass), the last 4 digits of your card, and your order. We also keep a record of each time you add or remove passes. Subscription consent records are kept for 3 years, or 1 year after the subscription ends, whichever is longer. You can cancel your subscription anytime at My Account → your order → Cancel subscription, or on our Manage subscription page.

4. Disclosure of Data

We will not sell or rent your Personal Data to third parties. We may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation (e.g., government request).
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of Same Day ID.
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service.

5. Cookies & Consent

We use essential cookies to run the site (login, checkout, security) and optional analytics and advertising tools: PostHog (product analytics, which may record how you use pages), Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics/Ads, and the Meta Pixel. Payments are processed by Stripe, which collects your card details directly. Emails are sent through Brevo.

Advertising tools (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel) are off unless you turn them on. You can turn these off at any time in Cookie Settings. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. See the Cookie Policy.

5B. Support Chat and Service Providers

Our support chat may be answered by an automated assistant provided by Hybrid Reply. Human support is provided by Assist X VA staff working on our behalf. Please don't share cardholder photos, ID documents or other sensitive data in chat. Chat transcripts are kept under the retention rules in §3.

5C. Text Messages (SMS)

If you opt in to texts, we use your phone number to send order, pass and account messages. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We do not sell or share your phone number or SMS opt-in with third parties for their marketing.

5A. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. To use these rights, email Help@SameDayID.com. You can opt out of sharing for targeted ads at any time in Cookie Settings, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as that opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
